Gamers play “The Visitor Returns” using a computer mouse to explore the environment and come up with creative ways to devour their prey. The game is available to play for free on arcade websites such as Kongregate. The game is the sequel to the point-and-click game “The Visitor.”
In “The Visitor Returns,” players take control of an alien death slug that has set out to wreak havoc on a trailer park. The goal of the game is to solve puzzles using objects in the surrounding environment and to aid in the death slug's mission of eating whatever animal is on screen. On the first stage, for example, players have to use objects such as a hammer and a lawn mower to help the alien eat a raccoon. Simply trying to eat the raccoon without solving the puzzle results in the raccoon killing the death slug.
As gamers make their way through the game, the puzzles become increasingly difficult and require them to use creative-thinking skills. There are six different endings for players to achieve, which adds to the replay value of the game.
The developers released the first game in the series, “The Visitor,” in 2007. Just like the sequel, this is a point-and-click game in which players have to solve puzzles. Both titles give players a rare chance to play the evil monster in a horror game instead of killing, avoiding or running from one.
