Bubble Gum Interactive, the developer of "Space Heroes Universe," closed the game on Jan. 29, 2015. It isn't available to play on any platform, as of May 2015. A cartoon and a trading-card game based on the virtual world were created.
"Space Heroes Universe" was an online game that launched in 2011. Originally called "Little Space Heroes," the game had over five million players.
The game began with a player creating his Space Hero and joining the Space Heroes Academy. He learned the game play, including use of his hero's Bubble Blaster, Jetpack and Starjet, through basic training. He could then complete quests, task and missions to earn awards, such as badges.
The game's villain was Lord Shadowbot. Twenty years before the game, he stole a race of aliens called the Glows, who provide light and energy. Players searched for these Glows during the game.
The mouse controlled most actions, although the keyboard was also used at times. The game allowed players to interact and work together on teams.
Bubble Gum Interactive closed "Space Heroes Universe" to focus on developing mobile games. Mobile games released by the developer include "Wild Grinders Downhill Grind," "All Star Tennis," "Cake Bake Blitz" and "Jetpack Jinx."
