It is not possible to play "Scribblenauts" for free, as all versions of the game require the player to purchase the game beforehand. The original "Scribblenauts" was released on the Nintendo DS platform, and its sequel versions are available on gaming consoles, computers through Steam or on mobile devices operating on the Apple or Android systems.
As of 2015, four "Scribblenauts" sequels are playable on various devices, including a personal computer, the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U. The four "Scribblenauts" sequels are titled "Super Scribblenauts," "Scribblenauts Remix," "Scribblenauts Unlimited" and "Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure." Unlike the other three sequels, "Scribblenauts Remix" is a port of the original "Scribblenauts" game with added content, such as new levels and an updated game mechanics system.
"Scribblenauts" is a side-scrolling adventure game that allows the gamer to summon various items inside the game by inputting words. Summonable objects inside the game range from simple objects to people and include animals, forces of nature, various vehicles, Internet memes and fictional characters. The game's system does not include any items that carry a trademark and also removes any profane words.
"Scribblenauts" was developed by 5th Cell, published in Japan by Konami and published in North America by WB Games.
