Players are able to customize their avatars, cars and in-game residences in a variety of ways, including modifying genders, customizing vehicle appearance and performance, and customizing various player homes.
"Saint's Row 2" is playable in both single player and multiplayer modes, and both modes are compatible with the full story campaign. Cooperative campaign players are able to split tasks during missions, such as driving and shooting. Players are also able to access a wide variety of vehicles, including boats, cars, planes and helicopters.
