Play "Pocket Tanks" online by controlling a tank and determining a firing angle against an opponent. The game map is typically set on a two-dimensional mountain base, and each player can choose from over 40 weapons with which to attack opponents.
The player chooses from a selection of weapons on consecutive turns with her opponent. Once a weapon has been chosen, the player determines the angle of her shot to ensure that her opponent is hit or enough dirt is damaged to potentially bury the target. Players can also adjust the strength of their shots prior to firing their weapons.
"Pocket Tanks" includes a variety of weapons to choose from, including the Firecracker, Dirt Mover, Napalm, Skipper and Cruiser. Players can also choose to upgrade their games from the free version to a Deluxe version which adds approximately 100 new weapons to their artilleries. The Deluxe version of "Pocket Tanks" also adds new functionality to a player's tank, such as Jump Jets and an underground digging function.
"Pocket Tanks" was initially created by Michael P. Welch in 2001. As of 2015, the game is available to be purchased from the Google Play Store, the Amazon Appstore, the Windows Store and the Apple App store.
