"Octodad" is played on computers using the keyboard and mouse. On the keyboard, the A and D keys allow the player to look around. The mouse is used to control all of the limbs, but players are forced to toggle between arm and leg mode by using the space bar.
In "Octodad," players control an undercover octopus who is trying to fool humans into thinking that he's one of them. He does this by getting a human family, wearing clothes and getting a job. Since his limbs were not designed to handle such tasks, it's up to the player to help Octodad complete them without making people suspicious of what he really is.
