Full Answer

View photographs of ships on Shipspotting.com by searching for a specific boat using the Ship Photo Search bar found in the upper right hand corner of the screen, by viewing the Most Popular photos or by browsing ships by type. To browse ships by type, you can search categories including aircraft carriers, barges, fishing vessels, submarines and traditional-rig sailing ships. To view ships within a category, such as cargo ships, specify a decade or era such the 1960s, 1970s or pre-1980. Clicking on a selected photo brings up a fact sheet for each ship. Information on the fact sheet includes ship name, country of origin, gross tonnage, owner and year built.

If you have a specific ship in mind or know the name of the ship, the Old Ship Picture Galleries on Photoship.co.uk let you search the website by selecting a single letter at a time and then browsing through the ships whose names begin with the selected letter.
