The goal of "Tri-Peaks Solitaire" is to move all the cards from the deck or "card pile" to the table. Speed is also an objective, as the faster players empty the deck to the table, the more points they score and the higher up the leaderboard they climb. Card matches must be one rank higher or lower than the card on the deck, and suits are irrelevant.
As a player clears the cards, each match earns him points. Once the player has eliminated all cards from the pile and moved them to the table, the game restarts. If the player doesn't eliminate all the cards before the time is up, the game also restarts. Each successive game allows less time, so the player must become increasingly fast at finding and completing matches to progress. "Tri-Peaks" has over 600 levels, so users can play for a long time before mastering it.
The game includes graphics and sounds the user can change, and it is free to play online. There is also a 3-D version with enhanced graphics. Additionally, the game is available as an app for smartphones. Though the game is free, in-app purchases are available, such as coin packages and wild cards, and their prices range from 99 cents to $20.
