Bunco is played with three sets of three regular six-sided dice. Additional supplies for the game include a pencil, a Bunco score sheet for each player, a Bunco table tally form for each table and a bell for the head table.
Bunco is typically played with 12 players divided into three groups of four. The game is played in two to four sets consisting of six rounds each. During each round, players collect points by rolling the number of the round during their turns. For instance, a player collects one point for every six he rolls in round six. Rolling three of the same number of a round is called out as a Bunco, and the player receives 21 points.
