David Blaine became interested in magic as child after seeing a street performer in a subway station. Blaine sent a performance tape to ABC who later gave him his first television special in 1997 titled David Blaine: Street Magic. Blaine has completed many high profile endurance stunts including freezing himself into a block of ice in 2000 and standing on a 100 foot pillar for 35 hours in 2002. Blaine frequently travels around the world to perform magic in children's hospitals and has performed privately for many celebrities and politicians.
