The five-pound Millennium Crown coin is worth between $14.94 and $23.10 U.S. currency. The coin is part of a series of United Kingdom five-pound commemorative crown coins.
The Millennium Crown coin was minted in 1999 and 2000, with over three million made. These coins are intended as souvenir coins rather than functioning ordinary currency. The front, designed by Ian Rank-Broadly, bears an image of Queen Elizabeth II. The back, designed by Jeffery Matthews, has representation of the face of a clock with the hands set at 12 o'clock. A map of the British Isles is underneath the clock hands. The edge inscription reads, "What's past is prologue."
