The Mossberg headquarters is located in North Haven, Connecticut. In 2014, O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc. expanded manufacturing of roughly 90 percent of its guns to Eagle Pass, Texas, after opening a new Maverick Arms, Inc., facility there. The reason was because Connecticut legislation banned several Mossberg products in 2013.
Mossberg is the largest shotgun manufacturer in the United States and has been manufacturing firearms since 1919. The United States government purchases Mossberg pump shotguns because they meet or surpass Mil-S-3443 specifications. The majority of Mossberg shotguns are purchased by law enforcement, sports enthusiasts and homeowners who want to own a firearm for protecting their property and loved ones.
