"Marvel Heroes" and "Marvel: Avengers Alliance" are both games available online as of June 2015. "Marvel Heroes" is a massively multiplayer online PC game newly launched in 2015, while "Avengers Alliance" is an online mobile game available since 2012.
In "Marvel Heroes," the player collects his favorite Marvel heroes by beating Doctor Doom in different scenarios. The game supports matched multiplayer as well as blind matchmaking, allowing players to choose friends to play with in real-time or to be paired with other random players who are queued for a game. While the game is primarily a fighting game and has individual goals such as unlocking new achievements, the goal of each individual match is to stop Doctor Doom from reshaping the world in his image with the Cosmic Cube.
"Avengers Alliance" is an online game available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone operating systems. While it is optimized for mobile play, players can access it via PC through a Facebook account. Players recruit members of the Avengers, the X-Men and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in order to stop Doctor Doom from taking over the world, similarly to the plot of "Marvel Heroes." Players must interact with other players by sending requests for assistance in order to beat most scenarios.
