Begin making a tin man from recycled cans by taking off the labels stuck on the cans. Use the bigger can for the tin mans' body and the smaller one for the head. Position the open sides of both the cans downwards to give the tin man's body and head a sturdy top.
Then, paint three circles, one below the other, on the bigger can for the tin man's shirt buttons. Alternatively, stick real buttons or watch cogs. Stick googly eyes at the appropriate position on the tin man's head. Use suitable light hardware to form the nose and mouth.
Bend the pipe cleaners to make them look like hands and legs. To make the feet, bend the pipe cleaners to make an oblong shape at one end. Affix the bent pipe cleaners appropriately to the bigger can.
Finally, attach the smaller can over the larger one using glue. Use hot glue along with a glue gun for making all attachments.Learn more about Crafts for Kids
