Mix together 3 cups of flour, 1 cup of salt, 2 tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice, 1 teaspoon of oil and 2 cups of water. On a floured surface, roll out the cookie dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
Use holiday-themed cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the dough. With a straw, punch out a hole at the top of the shape.
Place the cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Put the cookies in an oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake for 40 minutes, and then cool on a wire rack. These ornaments are edible and can be eaten once cooled.
Decorate with frosting or piped icing if you plan to save some of the cookies to eat later. Otherwise, decorate with glue, glitter, or anything else you can think of. If you want to preserve the ornaments, let them dry out for at least 24 hours, and then spray with an acrylic sealer. To hang, tie a ribbon through the hole.
