String brightly colored plastic pony beads onto elastic string to make a simple cuff Kandi bracelet. You need to string several rows of beads before the bracelet is finished.
- String a single bracelet
Cut a long piece of elastic string that can be wrapped around the wrist several times. String 32 colored beads onto the string. Create a pattern with the beads, or keep it random. Once the beads are strung, move the beads to one end, leaving a short tail, and tie the two ends together with a few knots. Trim the short tail as close to the knot as possible, and weave the long tail through the closest bead.
- Add a second row
To create a second row, add three beads. Thread the tail through the bead on the first row that is the fourth one from the knot. Pull the tail tightly. Add three more beads, and thread the string through the bead in the first row that is four away from the last one. Pull the tail tightly. Continue around the bracelet in this fashion until you have added eight segments of three beads each.
- Add a third row
Thread the tail through the middle bead of the first segment in the second row. Pull the tail tightly. Add three beads. Thread the tail through the middle bead of the second segment in the second row, and pull it tightly. Continue around the bracelet until you reach the first segment of the third row.
- Tie off the cuff
You can continue to add rows of beads in the same manner as the third row. To finish the bracelet, loop the tail around the string in the last row, and make a couple of knots. Do not make the knots around one of the beads. Trim the tail.
