Make a diorama by folding book board into the desired shape and adding the miniature features. The length of this project depends on the size and scope of the diorama. For a simple house diorama, you need book board, glue, a ruler, a box cutter and small windows or doors.
- Cut the book board
Measure and mark two pieces of book board to 10 1/4 inches by 12 1/4 inches, two pieces to 10 1/8 inches by 9 inches and one piece to 12 1/4 inches by 9 inches. Cut out the rectangles.
- Cut out the spaces for windows and doors
Lay out the two 10 1/8 by 9-inch pieces and the 12 1/4 by 9-inch piece. These form the sides and back of the house. Decide where you want the windows and doors to be located. Measure the miniature windows and doors, and transfer these measurements to the pieces of book board. Use the box cutter to cut out the spaces.
- Glue the house together
Glue the windows and doors into the appropriate holes. Lay out one of the 10 1/4 by 12 1/4-inch pieces for the base. Glue the three walls onto this base. Place the second 10 1/4 by 12 1/4- inch piece on top, and glue it down.
