How Do You Make a Church Out of Cardboard?

To make a cardboard church, cut four identical rectangles for the sides and roof. For the front and back, cut two squares and two triangles. To make the bell tower, cut four tall rectangles. Glue the pieces together to complete the church.

  1. Cut out the church walls and roof

On your cardboard, draw four identical rectangles that measure 6 inches tall and 8 inches wide, and cut them out. For the front and back, draw and cut out two 6-inch squares. Cut two triangles with a bottom edge that measures 6 inches and two side edges that measure 5 inches.

  2. Cut out and assemble the bell tower

Draw four identical rectangles that are 12 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. Cut them out. Glue the four rectangles together to form a long, square tube, and set it aside.

  3. Assemble the church walls

On one of the 6-inch squares, run a line of glue along one edge. Take one of the long rectangles and attach it to the square, lining up the 6-inch edges. Repeat the process with one of the other long rectangles. Attach the other square to make the church walls. Allow the glue to dry.

  4. Add the roof

Glue the two triangles to the top edge of the two square walls, matching the 6-inch edges. Run a line of glue along the top edges of the two triangles and the top of the side walls. Lay one of the remaining rectangles in place to form one side of the roof, aligning the corners with the points of the triangles. Do the same with the other rectangle.

  5. Attach the bell tower

Stand the bell tower on one end, and glue it to the center back of the church. Ensure that the bottom edges line up.

  6. Decorate the church

Using markers, draw a front door on your church. On the sides, use colored markers to draw stained-glass windows.
