As of July 2015, there are four "Kung Fu Panda" games available for various major gaming platforms. A fifth game is planned for release in late 2015.
The original "Kung Fu Panda" game is based on the 2008 movie. It loosely follows the events of the film, allowing players to control Po and eventually unlock other characters. There is also a multiplayer mode.
"Kung Fu Panda: Legendary Warriors" was released only a few months after the original game. It is only available for the Nintendo DS and Wii. The gameplay and story vary slightly between the two versions, but both feature an original story in which players again take the role of Po and friends and attempt to free the Valley of Peace from evil forces.
"Kung Fu Panda 2" is based on the events of the second movie and was released in 2011. It was released for the three major consoles of the time as well as the Nintendo DS. Gameplay is similar to that of the original game, with the exception of the Kinect version for the Xbox 360 which allows for full-body motion.
A browser-based MMO called "Kung Fu Panda World" was released in 2010. It was discontinued in 2012.
