Learning to juggle starts by tossing one ball between two hands. It is important to try and toss the ball high enough so the ball move back and forth at eye level. As the juggler gets more comfortable with this step, the need to track the ball with the eyes in order to catch it decreases.
While holding a ball in each hand, the juggler should start tossing the balls from the dominant hand to the subordinate hand. Immediately before catching the ball in the dominant hand, toss the other ball back to the subordinate hand. Remember to toss the balls at eye level.
Hold one ball in the dominant hand and the other two balls in the subordinate hand. Start tossing one of the two balls in the subordinate hand to the dominant hand while immediately tossing the ball in the dominant hand back to the subordinate hand. Whenever the ball is returned to the dominant hand, toss the other ball back to the subordinate hand. It is important to take this step slow and practice to become more comfortable.
