Hold the hoop horizontally with one hand on each side, and position it against the small of your back.
Turn your body in one direction, and energetically spin the hoop in the opposite direction. Try both directions to see which one feels best.
With one leg slightly in front of the other, shift your weight back and forth. Firmly push your hips forward each time the hoop crosses your stomach.
