The Hagerty Fantasy Bid was an online fantasy auction game that was run by Fox Sports and Barrett-Jackson automobile auctions in 2014. In this game, players were required to guess the total dollar amount that three different cars would be sold for at a Barrett-Jackson auction.
Players could choose from a total of 16 different cars to bid on and were required to bid on one car each for during the three auction days. Players were then awarded points based on how close their estimate came to the actual auction price of each of the three vehicles they chose. Highest points were awarded for the individual that came closest to guessing the actual sales price without going over. Any individual who guessed the exact price was awarded 100 points, while those who were within 5 percent under the final sales price were awarded 80 points.
After all of the auctions were conducted, the point totals for all three bids were added up in order to determine the Grand Prize Winner, who was the person who accumulated the highest total number of points over the three bids. In addition, the game also offered daily prizes that were awarded to the person who accumulated the most points on each auction day.
