Some good Popsicle stick projects are a bow and arrow, a chandelier, a sunburst mirror or a musical instrument. Popsicle sticks are perfect for making a kazoo or harmonica.
To make a bow and arrow out of Popsicle sticks, first, boil a wide Popsicle stick in boiling water for 30 minutes. Remove the stick from the water, and allow it to cool. Once the stick is cooled, form it into an arch shape, and place it in a glass overnight to help it retain this shape. Cut a rubber band in half, and glue each end to an inside end of the Popsicle stick.
Allow the glue time to dry, and then wrap the rubber band around the ends of the stick until the rubber band no longer has any slack. To make the arrows, cut triangles out of card stock, and glue a toothpick between two triangles.
To make a kazoo out of Popsicle sticks, start by cutting a piece of paper into two pieces long enough to wrap around two sticks. Wrap the paper around the sticks, securing with a piece of tape. Slide one of the sticks out, then wrap a rubber band length ways around the stick with the paper. Put the other stick on top, then wrap rubber bands around the ends of the two sticks to keep them together.
