Sears no longer offers portrait studio services to customers. As of April 6, 2013, all U.S. Sears portrait studios were permanently closed by their operator, CPI Corporation.
Although CPI also permanently closed its U.S. Wal-Mart portrait studios at the same time, Target and J.C. Penney feature portrait studios in select locations, as of 2015. Prices include a sitting fee per person plus the cost of photos. Photos can be purchased digitally or in printed sheet form.
As of 2015, prices for photo packages started at approximately $99. Factors that increase the cost include the number of individuals in the portrait and the type, quantity and format of the photos purchased.
