When Was the First Ms. Pacman Arcade Machine Made?

The first Ms. Pac-Man arcade game was created in 1981 by Midway Manufacturing Company. Midway ended up selling 115,000 arcade cabinets, making the game the most successful American-produced arcade game, as of 2015.

The game is essentially the same as the original Pac-Man, with a few minor alterations. The user controls Ms. Pac-Man, whose goal it is to eat the pellets on each board while avoiding four ghosts. Power pellets can give Ms. Pac-Man a burst of invulnerability and send the ghosts back to the center of the board if she can catch them. There are four different mazes in the game which alternate by level. As the levels go up, the game gets faster, and the power pellet longevity decreases.
