Three tank simulator game titles available for the PC are "T-72: Balkans on Fire," "Panzer Elite: Special Edition" and "World of Tanks." "T-72: Balkans on Fire" and "Panzer Elite: Special Edition" are single-player games, while "World of Tanks" is played exclusively online.
In "T-72: Balkans on Fire" the player character is a fictional tank Commander who is in charge of Russian forces during the Yugoslavian civil wars of 1991. Over the course of the campaign, the player takes command of three Russian tanks: the T-72B, the T-55A and the T-34/85, as well as various other vehicles and infantry.
The second World War is the setting for both "Panzer Elite: Special Edition," and "World of Tanks." There are three separate campaigns in "Panzer Elite: Special Edition," one from the perspective of a Prussian officer, one centered around a Russian tank commander, and one that allows the player to be an Allied Commander. The game's campaigns are set between the years 1942 and 1944 and are designed for maximum historical authenticity.
"World of Tanks" is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online game that strives to mix historical accuracy with balanced game play. With over 150 customizable tanks offered for the player to pilot in mass tank battles, communication and team work are the key to victory.
