Fleece projects that require no sewing include blankets, scarves, pillows and dog beds. Because fleece doesn’t fray when cut, crafters can leave the edges raw.
Crafters can make fleece scarves by cutting a strip of fabric to the desired width and length, then cutting a row of fringe into each end of the scarf. An individual can make a blanket by layering two different types of fleece, cutting fringe all the way around on both pieces and tying the fringe pieces together to close the project. Using this same technique, crafters can add a layer of batting or polyester stuffing between the pieces of fleece to make pillows and dog beds.
