The evolutionary chain of the Pokémon Dewott begins at its first incarnation, Oshawatt. It then evolves into Dewott at level 17. Dewott then evolves into Samurott at level 36. Dewott is the second member of this evolutionary chain.
Dewott is a water type Pokémon that first appeared in the fifth generation of Pokémon. It is the second evolved form of one of the three starter Pokémon in the Unova region. Its first form, Oshawatt, can be chosen as a starter Pokémon along with Tepig, a fire type, and Snivy, a grass type, in Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2.
Dewott is a bipedal otter-like Pokémon with qualities of a samurai. Dewott's evolutionary chain has a signature move called Razor Shell. In the Pokémon cartoon, Oshawatt and Dewott grab the shells on their sides and use them as weapons when using Razor Shell.
Although no members of Dewott's evolutionary chain are obtainable in Pokémon X or Y, it is possible to obtain them using the Pokébank. Pokétransfer is an application on the Nintendo 3DS that allows players to place Pokémon from older generations of the game onto a digital storage unit called the Pokébank. Players can then place Pokémon from their Pokébank onto Pokémon X or Y.
