Deer Hunter 2014 is a first-person hunting simulator that is free to play from both the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. The player takes on the role of a hunter and can hunt in various locations, such as the Central African Savannah and the Pacific Northwest.
Deer Hunter 2014 includes over 100 animal species that the player can hunt through a wide range of environments. These animals include both traditional hunting targets, such as deer, and dangerous predators, such as cheetahs, wolves and bears, that can attack the player during the course of the game.
The player can also upgrade and customize various components of the weapons that their hunters carry, allowing for greater firepower. Customizable elements include scopes, stocks, barrels and ammunition magazines.
Players can also earn trophies from the animals that they hunt, the results of which appear on the game's online leaderboards. Though Deer Hunter 2014 is free to play, it offers the option for players to spend real-world currency to purchase in-game items.
The game company Glu develops Deer Hunter 2014. As of 2015, over 50 million users have installed Deer Hunter 2014 on Android devices. It is a fairly small install at approximately 50MB.
