The original list of characters for the board game "Guess Who?" includes Alex, Alfred, Anne, Bernard, Bill, Charles, Claire, David, Eric, Frans, George, Herman, Joe, Maria, Max, Paul, Peter, Philip, Richard, Robert, Sam, Susan and Tom.
"Guess Who?" was first manufactured in 1979 in the United Kingdom before making its way overseas to the United States. The two-player board game is owned by Hasbro. Normally, it has twenty-four characters on display, all of whom share at least one common trait with another character(s). The object of the game is to guess the opponent's selected character by process of elimination. As such, it is conceivable that a change to the basic characters of the game could create a somewhat new experience.
Over the years, Hasbro has done exactly this, for editions of the game vary all the way from SpongeBob and Nickelodeon to Star Wars and Disney. In fact, versions of the game even exist with different character counts, such as a travel edition that has only twenty characters. In addition, Hasbro has extra, printable characters sheets online for countries all over the world. Thus, any cast of 24 characters with basic similarities can be used to play the game, though the original 24 are the ones listed above.
