Government agencies and charitable organizations, such as Salvation Army locations, are common locations that distribute Toys for Tots gifts. Toys for Tots gift are only available during the holiday season, and the age limit to receive a toy is 13 in most areas, and 17 years of age in others.
Other programs in most cities are similar to Toys for Tots, and it is encouraged to sign up for whatever help for which you qualify. Ask your local Toys for Tots coordinator for information about similar programs in your area. These programs are often offered at government aid centers and churches. For some programs, you are required to prove financial need and/or provide identification, such as social security cards, for the children for which the gifts are intended.
