Build a three-hole washer game by building two identical boxes, cutting three holes in the top of each box and attaching the two boxes with a length of chain. Playing the game requires six 3-inch fender washers. Complete this project in half a day.
- Build the boxes
Use pressure treated lumber for a game that can withstand the weather. Build each box using 2-inch-by-6-inch boards and a 12-inch-by-48-inch piece of 3/4-inch plywood.
- Cut the holes
Mark a line down the center of the box and at 7 inches, 14 inches and 21 inches from the end. The intersection of these lines is the center of the three holes. Use a compass to draw 2-inch radius circles at each intersection. Drill a hole inside the circle and use a jigsaw to cut along the line. Repeat for the second box.
- Attach the boxes with a chain
Drill holes in the end of each box to accommodate a U-bolt. Slip a bolt through the end of a 12-foot length of chain and into the holes drilled into the box. Tighten the bolt to hold the chain in place. Attach the chain in a similar fashion to the other box. Paint or stain the boxes for a more finished look
