How Do You Build a Frog Deck?

Build a frog archetype deck from the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" trading card game by amassing several frog monster cards and the supporting spell and trap cards. As of September 2014, the highest-level frog monster card is "D.3.S. Frog" with 2,500 attack and 2,000 defense points.

  1. Include frog monsters

Build up your deck with frog monster cards such as "Flip Flop Frog," "Dupe Frog," "Substitoad," "Des Frog," "Beelze Frog," "D.3.S. Frog," "T.A.D.P.O.L.E." and "Treeborn Frog." Each monster card can have up to three copies each in one deck. Frog monster cards help each other, such as three "T.A.D.P.O.L.E." cards in the graveyard that trigger effects for "Beelze Frog" and "Des Frog."

  2. Beef up the monsters with spell cards

Pick several spell cards to support these frog monster cards, such as "Wetlands," "Des Frog" and "Polymerization." Have "Wetlands" on the field to increase the attack of aqua-type water monsters by 1,200 points if the monsters are level two or lower. "Polymerization" is required to summon "D.3.S. Frog."

  3. Protect your cards with traps

Include trap cards such as "Froggy Forcefield," "Gravity Bind" and "Graceful Revival." Activate the trap "Froggy Forcefield" to destroy all attack-position monsters your opponent controls. "Graceful Revival" lets you recall a level two or lower monster from the graveyard, and many frog monsters are low-level cards.
