The Bernina 330 is the company's entry level model of sewing machine. It is part of the Bernina 3 Series, which the company recommends as the ideal sewing machine for beginners.
The 330 offers a number of useful functions, including an automatic buttonhole function, built-in needle threader, bright LED sewing light and permanent memory function. Using the memory function, it is possible to program the sewing machine to remember up to 30 different stitching combinations that can be selected at the push of a button. The Bernina 330 also features a total of 97 different pre-programmed stitch patterns, including 15 utility stitches, three cross stitches, 23 decorative stitches and three quilting stitches. The machine features an LCD touch screen control panel, memory keys and a numerical keypad that makes it simple for users to switch between the various stitch patterns. The 330 also allows the user to adjust the stitch length and width easily.
The machine features a built-in thread cutter, onboard ruler in inches and centimeters, and a seam guide that is etched on to the needle plate, which itself features nine different needle positions. The Bernina 330 is manufactured by Bernina International, which is headquartered in Switzerland but also has offices in the United States, Canada and Australia.
