Players play C minor by placing the ring finger on the third fret of the bottom string. Placing the middle finger on the top string, second fret is A minor. For F major, the index finger presses the first fret on the second string and the ring finger presses on the second fret of the top string. G major is played by placing the index finger on the third string, second fret, the ring finger on the second string, third fret and the middle finger on the second fret of the bottom string.
