Moses was 120 years old when he died. According to Deuteronomy 34:7, he lost neither his eyesight nor his strength before and was not diminished in body or mind by old age.
Moses’ life is divided into three equal periods. He spent 40 years in the court of the Egyptian Pharaoh, 40 years in Midian after he fled Egypt and 40 years leading the Israelites in the wilderness.
According to the Bible, Moses was a prophet of God and was commanded to face Pharaoh and demand that he free the people of Israel. Pharaoh finally did release the Israelites, but only after God released the Ten Plagues on Egypt. Moses led the Israelites toward the Promised Land, but died before they reached it.
