The Honor Flight Network plans on starting Korean War veteran Honor Flights upon completion of the flights for World War II veterans and is accepting applications from Korean War veterans, as of December 2015. The 2016 schedule is not available, and the 2015 schedule has ended.
The Honor Flight Program is organized and administered by the Honor Flight Network to thank veterans for their service in the nation’s wars. The network honors these veterans by arranging to fly them from their homes to Washington D.C. to visit the sites of the national monuments that honor their sacrifices. The network's current focus is on serving the few remaining veterans from World War II and terminally ill veterans of later conflicts.
