Malcolm X and his wife Betty Shabazz had six children together, all daughters. Their names are Qubila, Ilyasah, Attallah, Gamilah, Malaak and Malikah. Malaak and Malikah are twins.
Qubilah Shabazz, the second daughter of Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz, witnessed the assassination of her father, and in 1995, she was indicted on charges connecting her to a plot to kill the man she believed was responsible. She accepted a plea agreement and was found innocent. Ilyasah, the third daughter of Malcolm X, is an author known for her work as a motivational speaker and book, "Growing Up X." Malikah and her sister Malaak were born after Malcom X's assassination, and they were directly named after him.
