Did Leonardo Da Vinci Have a Wife?

Leonardo da Vinci never married and had no children. He was an Italian artist and inventor during the Renaissance period. His most famous works include "The Last Supper," "The Mona Lisa" and "Madonna on the Rocks."

Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1452 in the town of Vinci, located in the Tuscany region of Italy. He moved to Florence to study art under Andrea del Verrocchio, and he was admitted to the Florence painters' guild in 1472. Leonardo da Vinci was not only an accomplished painter, but he also worked in mathematics, anatomy and engineering. His drawings include hundreds of designs for flying machines, and his drawings of human anatomy are some of the first recorded. Later in life he moved to France, where he died on May 2, 1519.
