Anne Frank hid in a secret annex in the back of Otto Frank's store. The shop was located at 263 Prinsengracht. While Anne and other Jews hid in this special space, business was going in the shop as if everything was normal.
While the legend of Anne Frank has led people to believe the girl was hiding in a cramped, uncomfortable tiny space. The actual spot where Frank and others hid has been described as being quite spacious. The room was big enough to fit two families and had a full kitchen and bathroom as well as plenty of open space.
