Bows, tomahawks and war clubs were common tools and weapons used by the Apache people. The tools and weapons were made from resources found in the region, including trees and buffaloes.

Bows and arrows were widely favored by Native American tribes since they relied on hunting for survival. Other tools used by the Apache included spoons, spears and knives. The majority of weapons were made with wood and sharpened rocks although some of them along with tools could be constructed solely from buffalo. The buffalo served the Native Americans in a multitude of ways. Not only did the meat feed the tribes, the horns, glue from the hooves and the hides were made into different tools and other objects. The Apaches also used shields made from buffalo hide.
