Foods that support eye health include kale and orange peppers, according to Hanfileti, who also advises taking vitamins C and E, omega-3 fatty acids, beta-carotene, bilberry, grapeseed, selenium and chromium to improve vision. Grossman also recommends lutein and zeaxanthin.
Grossman's exercises include tracing a figure eight in the air before the eyes with a finger and viewing 3-D images. Other exercises that improve vision include palming, or covering both eyes with the palms, while applying no pressure to reduce muscle tension; frequent blinking; purposely shifting focus; and reading first with both eyes, then with alternating eyes covered. Dr. Oz recommends warming the eyes by rubbing the palms together and using them to cover the eyes, rolling the eyes in a circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counter-clockwise, focusing on an object held at arm's length and slowly bringing it to within 6 inches of the eyes, and massaging the temples as exercises to improve vision naturally.Learn more about Vision
