TRX stands for Total Body Resistance Exercise. This type of exercise focuses on suspension training and the movements of the body while suspended. The workouts are designed to work the core muscles and increase strength.
TRX was first created by a Navy SEAL as a method of exercise that could be done in any location. The standard TRX suspension equipment includes two nylon straps that feature both hand and foot attachments. The straps attach to a secured anchor point such as a door, a wall hook or a tree. Training DVDs are available to teach users how to properly use the equipment.
