No matter how much you exercise, toning your body will be challenging if you maintain a bad diet. Eliminate processed, empty-calorie foods, and replace them with fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. Eat a balanced breakfast every day, and eat every two to three hours to prevent hunger and binging.
Working out with weights helps build muscle and shapes the entire body. At least three times a week, perform exercises like push-ups, squats, bicep curls, lunges and crunches. Perform two or three sets of 12 to 15 repetitions for each exercise.
Performing cardiovascular exercise is key if you want to achieve a toned body because it burns off the fat that is hiding your muscles. At least three times a week, perform 30 minutes of high-intensity cardiovascular exercise, such as running, power walking and climbing stairs.
