A spin class is an exercise class in which a group of people ride on stationary bikes. A spin class typically has loud, energetic music playing while the class follows the instructions from the leader to add or subtract resistance to the bikes.
A spin class is typically 45 minutes long and involves cycling in three positions: sitting normally on the bike, standing upright and bending forward while reaching over the handlebars. Clothing that wicks moisture away and spin shoes are recommended for a spin class. The seat height and handlebar height should be adjusted so that riders are seated in a proper position and comfortable.
