While waiting for a dentist appointment, there are a few things that can be done to help ease tooth pain. Any food particles should be removed from the surrounding area by careful brushing and flossing. If the pain is caused by popcorn kernels or other items stuck between the tooth and the gum, simple oral hygiene practices usually eliminate the problem.
