After undergoing a mini facelift procedure, a patient can generally expect to wait about one or two days before getting back on his feet. Most patients return to work within 10 days to two weeks, according to Darrick Antell, M.D..
The timeline for resuming normal activities depends on the type of activity and its level of strenuousness, explains Dr. Antell. While walking and mild stretching pose no threat, surgeons typically advise patients to refrain from more strenuous ventures, such as heavy housework and sex, for about two weeks after surgery. Furthermore, patients should abstain from activities such as drinking alcohol and taking steam baths or saunas for several months following the mini facelift.
