The PRISM weight loss program is a Christian-based program designed to help individuals learn about eating, fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, says DietSpotlight. The program comes in four 6-week long phases. Each phase has an accompanying workbook. Workbooks and books about the program are available for purchase online at Amazon. DietSpotlight reports that the diet's developers don't offer any clinical trial data supporting the use of the PRISM diet.
The workbooks necessary to do the PRISM program were published in 1991. Purchasers of the program were originally supposed to join online discussion forums to get feedback and support and were to get support from the official website of the program, says DietSpotlight. As of 2014, the website for the Prism Weight Loss Program has been taken down. A Facebook site to support PRISM dieters does exist, but it hasn't been updated since April 2012. There did appear to be a business located in California that was called The PRISM Weight Loss Program. The president of the business is listed as Toni Vogt, who is the founder of the weight loss program. The Better Business Bureau reports that The Prism Weight Loss Program was incorporated in 1990 and has since gone out of business.
