The dating site Plenty of Fish, also known as PoF, does not screen profiles, messages or public postings. However, the site does remove profiles of users who have been found in violation of its terms of service.
PoF has no tolerance for members who post rude or obscene messages or images, who are married, who upload fake photographs, or who otherwise violate its terms of service. It may delete the accounts of those caught doing so. However, it does not conduct background checks, and the terms of service make it clear that members are responsible for their own safety when interacting with other members.
Although PoF strives to create a safe and secure online dating environment, members should give themselves time to get to know potential dates through email and phone chats before they agree to meet them in person.
