There a two steps a person needs to follow when planning a prayer breakfast: select a date and submit it to the church calendar, and ask the pastor to plan an in-depth lesson around growth in prayer. The individual can select some topics he or she would like discussed in the lesson, or leave it up to the pastor.
There are four elements of a prayer breakfast that make it encouraging to fellow worshipers. The first component is the food and fellowship piece, which lasts roughly 45 to 60 minutes. The next component is worship, and this should take about 15 minutes. Afterward, the pastor should spend about 45 minutes delivering the lesson prepared for the group. And, the final component is to end the breakfast in prayer for about 30 minutes.
